Şans 
jeotların düşme oranını ve Balıkçılık ile hazine elde etme şansı gibi oyunun farklı yönlerini etkileyen bir istatistiktir. Şansın birkaç kaynağı bulunur: oyun tarafından belirlenen günlük şans, belirli yemekleri veya içecekleri içerek kazanılan buffler, kalıcı olarak küçük bir şans artışı veren Özel Tılsım ve Şans Yüzüğü.
Daily Luck
Günlük şansın ana değeri -0,1 ve 0,1 arasında seçilen rastgele bir sayıdır.[1] Özel Tılsım ile 0,025 arttırılabilir. Günlük şans, gün tekrar başlatılsa bile değişmez ama önceki günü tekrar oynayarak değiştirilebilir.
Günlük şans Televizyonu açarak ve "Falcı"yı seçerek görüntülenebilir. Falcı, günlük şansı belirten bir ifade kullanır. Falcı Televizyon Programını izlemek, şansı etkilemez (başka bir deyişle oyuncu programı izlemese bile şansı "0" olmaz, seçilen değer olduğu gibi devam eder).
Şans mesajını söylemeden önce aşağıdaki mesajlardan herhangi biri rastgele olarak gösterilir (ilk ikisi cinsiyete bağlıdır). Şansı herhangi bir yönden etkilemezler.

Günlük Şans Etkileri
Günlük şans, şunları etkiler:
- Madencilik
- Madencilik yaparken merdiven bulma şansı.
- Taşlardan jeot ve kömür düşürme şansı.
- Madenler veya Kafatası Mağarası'nda Mücevher Taş Düğümü ve Mistik Taş bulma şansı.
- Madenlerde kutuların belirme şansı.
- Kafatası Mağarası'nda hazine odası bulma şansı.
- Madenler veya Kafatası Mağarası'nda ölünce kaybedilen altın ve öge miktarı.
- Madenlerde (Mücadele Sunağı aktifken) veya Kafatası Mağarası'nda (Kafatası Mağarası İstilası aktifken) Radyoaktif Düğüm bulma şansı. [3]

- Balıkçılık yaparken hazine sandıkları bulma şansı.
- Özel öge elde etme şansı (başka bir deyişle Neptün'ün Keskinağzı, Prizma Parçası, İridyum Yüzük).
- Hasat ederken ekininden iki katı elde etme şansı. Her ekin için çalışır ve eğer şans sayesinde olursa eşsiz bir "dwoop" ses efekti çalar. [4]

- Oyuncunun aynı zamanda da çıktığı başka bir evlenilebilir kasabalıya hediye verdikten sonra eşin kıskanç olma şansı.
- Kumarhanede kumar makinesinin sonuçları.
- Bir fırtınada çarpan yıldırım sayısı (daha yüksek bir şans, yıldırım sayısını arttırır). [5]
Şans Buffleri
In addition to Daily Luck, Luck Buffs gained from eating food will provide temporary bonuses. Any luck buff is treated separately from daily luck, so the effects of the two types of luck are not automatically the same; both the types of events affected by luck buffs and the magnitude of the effect can be different. Only one drink-derived buff and one food-derived buff can be active at a given time.
Known differences between daily luck and luck buffs include:
- The drop chances of Duck Feather and Rabbit's Foot are not improved by luck buffs.
- For Fishing Treasure Chest contents, a luck buff does not improve special item chances. Instead, it increases the chance of getting double quantities of resources and gems. It also allows standard rings (Glow Ring, Magnet Ring) to appear in place of small rings (Small Glow Ring, Small Magnet Ring).
- When breaking stone, chances for extra Cinder Shards, Bone Fragments, Clay, Stone, and all Ore depend on the player's Mining level and luck buffs, but not daily luck[6].
- The player's Crit. Chance is boosted by luck buffs but not daily luck[7].
- The player's chances of activating the Ring of Yoba[8] or Warrior Ring[9] are boosted by luck buffs but not daily luck.
- The player's chances of finding certain modified monster drops, including Mahogany Seed, Galaxy Soul, and Qi Gem depend on luck buffs but not daily luck[10].

Special Charm
After reading Secret Note #20 and solving the puzzle depicted, the player is awarded with a Special Charm that permanently increases daily Luck by 0.025.

- 1.3.27: Officially added Special Charm to the game. Treasure rooms added to Skull Cavern, which are affected by luck.
- 1.4: Magic Rock Candy introduced. Special Charm luck increase changed to a static 0.025. Giving datable NPCs a gift no longer makes the player's spouse jealous unless they're currently dating them.
- 1.5: Lucky Ring, Banana Pudding, and Ginger Ale introduced.
